Ready For Battle...

With a title like that, it's hard to imagine what to expect on this page! Let me start by giving you a brief look behind this concept...the right to agree to disagree. It's a story that wasn't very humorous...BUT has recently become hilarious! I'm not one to pull off blonde jokes (considering I'm a natural blonde)...regardless, I'm sure there's a joke that would match me right about now!

Last week, a little disagreement ensued between myself and another author. You're probably thinking that I'm not going to tell you who it was...WRONG! Her name is Philosophy and our arguement turned us into good friends. She is a wonderful girl. (Sorry...woman) The whole thing developed due to an article that I wrote regarding porn and rape. The original article was written as an editorial piece and I didn't realize that I should have put a disclaimer or something at the beginning of the article. OOPS! Considering I'm still new to all of this, I received a lot of comments, and after reviewing the people's pages that left the comments, I deleted them...once again, OOPS!

Here's the thing...I'm still kinda new to all of this. I had no idea that I could respond to those comments on my own page...I thought they were just personal little things. Never once did I understand that they were there as a way of developing a discussion/debate between authors. I'm so sorry to everyone that I offended by that...I just didn't know! This little misunderstanding turned into a MAJOR battle between the two of us. Since we are both mature...it only lasted 2 days.

That's where this idea came from...a battle...a debate...a disagreement page! What better than that! It will be a way for the reader to see two drastically different points of view on one page...by two different authors. There is no one I would rather do something like this with than Philosophy! She is just as dedicated to her opinions and beliefs as I am to mine. She's passionate...she's brilliant...and she is one hell of a writer! I'm just glad she's as open to this idea as I am. I was a bit nervous asking her if she was willing to do something like this...

We aren't 100% sure how we're going to work it out yet...or what the first topic will be...BUT...I can assure you that it's going to be a great one! The first challenge will be finding something that we disagree on...a topic that neither of our thoughts could be swayed against...any ideas, feel free to leave a comment.

Don't worry...now that I know how this comment thing works, I won't delete any of them on this particular page! We're looking for everyone's help and input here...let's get ready to battle...
